Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of "Off System Safety Project" will be received by the City of Dalton, GA, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER at the City of Dalton City Hall until 10:00 A.M., local time, Tuesday, September 7, 2010. BIDS will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
The Work includes the following principal items:
THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKINGS AND RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS.
Total Contract Time for completion of the work in one hundred twenty (120) calendar days.
Liquidated damages for delay will be in the amount of $150.00 per calendar day that the project remains incomplete after the specified completion time.

Bid Security: Each BIDDER must deposit with his BID, as Bid Security, a Bid Bond payable to the OWNER in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total amount bid.
Bids will be considered only from experienced and well equipped Contractors engaged in work of this type and magnitude. Contractors must be persently pre-qualified to do this type of work with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
